Special places in a natural setting.

Let us covenant to tread lightly, go slowly, to live simply, mindfully,
and to always replace, return, recycle or repair what we have used
in equal energy

The Woods

It is our wish that we could share with you a different sort of holiday, one which refers to change from disconnected and stressed out lifestyles to the world better prepared to help recreate sustainable systems for ourselves, now and unto seven generations...

Experience over 100 acres of rolling meadows, wooded ridges, wetlands and woodlands, all bordering the Rideau Waterway at Cranberry Lake.  Rocky shores and gentle beaches are all woven together with trails and pathways.  Wildlife corridors cross people paths.  Pet ducks, geese and hens tend to the insects.  Perhaps you'll see piggy doing plough or sheep doing mowing.

For campers to leave only footprints,
and who may wish to participate in our eco camper full living program, exploring alternative energy and sustainable systems.

Small on-site trailers and cabins can accommodate small groups for quiet retreats.

Eco-Trail

Our interpretive, self guided trail links the house and the gardens, the barn and fields, woodlands and wetlands and the camp, showing living things in symbiotic relationship, each serving the needs and accepting the products of the other; self regulation of living systems.... sustainability
